Silovan Narimanidze says in his introduction: "What distinguishes Mirza Gelovani from the poets of the old and new generations? Mainly the simple fact that he is unlike anyone else. He resembles only himself, having won the battle with the poetic word. He succeeded in finding the most appropriate form to express his innermost, to turn a commonplace fact into a poetic image. All of this was possible because without a poet’s deep-felt perception a good poem cannot be written".
